BENZIPOX EXCEL-DAMP PRIMER is a two pack modified amidoamine cured epoxy primer for use on concrete floor surface. It is transparent and exhibits superb penetrating power that fills the capillary pores of the concrete substrate and helps to eliminate bubble and pinhole problems, hence providing superior adhesive strength to the surface for subsequent coats. It has moisture tolerant property and work well when being applied over high relative humidity concrete floors. It is ideal to be used as a tie coat between bare concrete surface and solvent-based top coats, such as BENZITHANE 300, BENZIPOX 280 and BAOMA Mason Glaze.

Surface Preparation:

Concrete Floor Surface
Newly laid concrete floor surface must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days, ensure the surface is below 16% moisture content as measured by Protimeter and alkalinity below PH9 (It is highly recommended to have a layer of water-proof membrane underneath the concrete). If alkalinity is high, neutralize the surface by etching with 5% Sulphuric Acid solution and rinsed thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry completely prior to painting.

Touch Dry	: 2 - 3 hours (depends on temperature and humidity)

Theoretical Coverage	: 13 m2 / litre / coat (DFT of 30 microns); 8 m2 / litre / coat (DFT of 50 microns)

Cleaning Up	: Clean all paint equipment with Thinner immediately after use

Safety, Health & Environment

FLAMMABLE. During painting, make sure no source of ignition at surrounding and no smoking. When not in use, store paint in cool and shaded place and do not directly expose to sunlight. Allow proper ventilation and wear mask during painting. Do not breathe vapour or spray. Keep doors and windows open during application and drying. It is advisable to wear eye protector while applying. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical treatment. To remove splashes of paint from skin, use suitable cleanser or soap and water. Do not dispose paint into drains or watercourses. Refer to MCI Paint Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for further details.
